Make-up with a mask: 7 tips for long-lasting make-up

The mask has become, in the last months, an accessory indispensable for protect our health and that of others from contagion. For a long time, at least in closed places, we will not be able to do without it, so it is useful to learn to live with it.
If you love make-up and don't want to give it up, we give you some useful tips for a flawless and resistant make-up.

Here are 7 tips for wearing a mask

1 - Moisturize the skin before makeup

Before you start wearing makeup, apply a moisturizer with SPF 50, to protect the skin from the sun and skin aggressions.

The heat and the mask create some areas of moisture on the face which is put to the test, as well as the eye contour, continuously stressed by the upper fabric edge.

2 - Face base: choose a foundation and a non-transfer concealer

If you are used to using a liquid foundation you can continue to do so, as long as it is not transferable.

Un no transfer foundation with a light texture is a product that resists the heat and humidity that is created in the face area covered. If you want to get a light and fresh base, you can opt for a colored cream such as a BB cream or a CC cream, in this case the chances of the makeup remaining on the mask are very low.

Choose a slightly illuminating concealer, to be used also to create points of light on the forehead or above the cupid's bow.

3 - Fix everything with the loose powder

This is one basic rule of make up: a liquid product must be followed by a powder one to fix. Use a powder to prevent the foundation and concealer from moving even when rubbed with the fabric, but choose transparent so that it does not alter the color of the complexion.

4 - Apply a bronzer only on the temples and forehead

Il bronzer (as well as the blush) is the best ally you can wish for a healthy and radiant complexion. With the use of the mask, the blush will be very little visible on the cheeks. You can remedy, by tapping on the temples, at the hairline, a bronze to warm the complexion.

5 - Focus everything on your eyes

Having half your face covered the best thing you can do is to put your make up on your eyes and create an intense look that shifts the attention right to the gaze.

There are no rules, it depends on the shape and color of your eye. You can opt for classic smokey eyes or bronze tones if you have light eyes. Remember that to highlight the look a mascara with an intense black color cannot be missing.

Play with colors, in summer it's easier, and with shades, with pencils to create shadows or eyeliner to give definition.

6 - Don't forget the eyebrows

An intense look comes above all from well-defined and structured eyebrows. So take care of it. If you don't have the manual skills to create the most suitable shape for your face, get help from the beautician. Having a good starting shape will make the make-up phase easier for you. Make up lightly and secure them with an eyebrow fixing gel (same color as your hair or translucent) to give them volume and keep them in order.

7 - Lipstick yes or no?

Without lipstick, make-up cannot be said to be complete, but unfortunately lipstick and mask don't get along at all. If you opt for nude tones, flesh, light colors, you can apply it by tapping on the moisturized lips and wait a few minutes before putting on the mask. If, on the other hand, you love reds and intense tones, the best choice is to take your lipstick with you and wear it only when needed.
