This aqueous cleaner, moreover, does not contains alcohol, soap, perfumes, therefore, it is a perfect product for sensitive skin and also excellent for removing make-up from the delicate eye contour area. How to use micellar water?

THEmicellar water can be used by all skin types. It is used morning and evening on a cotton pad to cleanse the skin and remove make-up.

In the morning, it helps to remove the excess sebum that the skin has produced during the night and the dust that has deposited on the face, follow this step with a cleanser in mousse and your skin will remain soft and comfortable and will be ready to receive the rest of the morning skincare.

instead, in the evening it is used to remove make-up from the skin. If you've used waterproof mascara, use an oil-based makeup remover first to make sure you remove all makeup.

Wipe the pad soaked in micellar water all over your face, repeating the application at least twice, to be sure that all impurities have been eliminated.

How to choose it according to the type of skin?

It is suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive. Its water-based formula is very delicate and respects the pH of the epidermis, because it contains neither perfume nor soap.

However, it should be noted that some very sensitive and reactive skin types may experience irritation, in this case the surfactants present in the water-based detergent are not suitable and could be too aggressive and excessively dry the skin.

The composition of the micellar waters differs, to better adapt to each type of skin.

Therefore, it is therefore important to choose micellar water based on the type of skin and the type of makeup you generally use.

When the skin does not produce enough sebum, its hydrolipidic film no longer performs its function, that is, it is no longer able to retain water and dehydrates, favoring the appearance of wrinkles.

The solution: avoid all aggressive products which further alter the hydrolipidic film. Cleaning should be done with a very mild product such as a water-based cleanser enriched with moisturizing agents.

Errors to avoid

  • Do not rinse after use: on many packages, the wording is shown "without rinsing", but the advice is to always rinse your face before continuing with the other steps. It is always a surfactant-based cleanser that should not remain on the skin for too long.
  • Rub the skin too hard: micellar water, due to its "cleansing" action, can dry out the skin, so it is important to act delicately when wiping the cotton ball. Especially in the eye area, where the skin is thin and tends to get scarred.
  • Do not use a cleaner: used alone, micellar water does not ensure optimal skin cleansing because it will not remove 100% of residues, it must be integrated into a general cleansing routine (micellar water must be followed by a mild facial cleanser). To then continue with the rest of the skincare: serum, eye cream and face cream.
